Rio Verde is an adult golfing community, nestled in the heart of the high Sonoran Desert. The 735-acre community features custom homes and charming villas overlooking manicured fairways and majestic mountains.

Rio Verde began development in 1973. Nearly 710 acres have been reserved for residential, commercial and recreational spaces, while 77 acres have been devoted to roadways.

Rio Verde features a private country club with two 18-hole golf courses. Fairways are lined with luxurious custom homes and charming villas.
The community sits at the western edge of the lower Verde River. On the southern border lies the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation and the McDowell Mountain Regional Park.
On the northern border of Rio Verde is a community currently in development called Tonto Verde. Both communities were developed by Rio Verde Development.

While much of the charm of Rio Verde is the privacy offered by its secluded location, it is just a short drive from Scottsdale and Fountain Hills.
