| In 2003, Pinnacle Peak, Scottsdale became home to the 150 acre City of Scottsdale Pinnacle Peak Park. Much of Pinnacle Peak, Scottsdale has been developed, providing a home for many new Arizonans.
Today, Pinnacle Peak is both a landform and a coveted Scottsdale, Arizona residential area. Pinnacle Peak, the landform, rises out of the Sonoran desert floor to an elevation of 3,170 feet. Pinnacle Peak was formed one million years ago as the result of tectonic plate movement and is composed of granite, feldspar, mica and quartz
. 
The elevation change is taken in small doses with many switchbacks that gradually lead up. The height offers a bird's eye view of some extraordinary custom homes and the green fairways of Estancia Golf Club below.
The area of Pinnacle Peak and Pima Road
offer incredible views, easy access to Scottsdale amenities, the Loop 101 freeway, nearby restaurants & shops, golf, outdoor activities, and a multitude of real estate options. Various exclusive and gated communities can be found in the Pinnacle Peak & Pima Road corridor.
